6 designers from South Africa who will be featured at Seychelles Fashion Week

(Seychelles News Agency) - Seychelles is getting ready to welcome the second edition of the Seychelles Fashion Week which will take place between November 28 and December 1.

Collections will be presented from a record 25 designers or group of designers coming from over 10 countries.

SNA presents the second part of a series introducing the designers that will be showcasing their creations on the catwalk at the fashion week.

Below is a list of designers coming from South Africa, the country with the most contributors to be featured in the fashion week.

 

Designer: Nomalungelo Mahlangu

Brand: Precious Lulu Couture

Established over 10 years ago, Precious Lulu Couture seeks to elevate the classic element of South African fashion and infuse it with a high content of creativity. Evening wear, ethnic and street couture and bridal wear are some of the high fashion garments produced by Mahlangu.

Designer: Mthunzi Mthembu

Brand: M-Shade Designs

Mthembu accounts for all age groups and sizes, designing custom-made wears for men, women and children from all across Africa.

Designer: Lindiwe Makhoba

Brand: UNALISA

Based in Durban, the brand was established with the aim of serving its clients with elegance, class and stylish fashion and beauty brands.

The brainchild of UNILISA, Lindiwe Makhoba, believes “how we dress has an impact on how we feel about ourselves.”

She derives inspiration from her customer's state of mind, lifestyle and visions.

Brand: Lindiwe Gigaba

Mom Lindiwe Gigaba is the managing director of Africa Fashion Alive, an organisation that focuses on bringing together people, especially artists, in the fashion industry to help grow and expose them and their brands.

Designer: Silungie Mokoena

Brand: Sluu by Sluvin Designs

Sluu, a clothing label designed by the house of Sluvin Designs based in Durban Central, is owned by Silungile Mokoena, a qualified fashion designer. The brand designs garments and accessories of all styles with a focus on satisfaction through fashion.

Garments range from culture to couture, formal, evening and bridal wear as well as semi-casual outfits.

Brand: Catewell Collection 

Ngubane recently took part in the glamorous Fashion Without Borders held in September in Johannesburg.
