Paradise in pictures: former Miss World Rosanna Davison tweets string of Seychelles holiday selfies

(Seychelles News Agency) - Model-turned-nutritionist and former Miss World 2003, Rosanna Davison, has turned her fellow Irish countrymen green with envy after embarking on a selfie spree while on holiday in the Seychelles.

Still holidaying on the archipelago’s second most populated island of Praslin, it is perhaps a strange definition of cosy - just Davison, her husband Wesley Quirke and her 85,000 Instagram followers – almost the entire population of the Indian Ocean island nation.

The 31-year-old Irish beauty, who is the daughter of famous musician Chris de Burgh – the composer of the iconic ‘Lady in Red’ ballad – married Quirke, who is a part-time model, part-time businessman and the son of an Irish multi-millionaire, last year.

Davison and Quirke tied the knot in Dublin, Ireland in May 2014 after seven years of dating and then finally getting engaged in January 2013. The couple escaped on honeymoon to the Seychelles after the wedding, and it seems that the love-struck couple have also fallen madly in love with the tropical beauty of the islands.

Just a few weeks after celebrating their first wedding anniversary, the pair hopped aboard an Emirates flight a week ago to get a much-needed fix of island-style paradise.

The blonde model and her husband arrived at the Seychelles International Airport on the main island of Mahé, only to hop over to the smaller island of Praslin straight away, and according to a comment Davison made on her Instagram account, it looks as though they don’t have any plans to stay on the main island, where around 80 percent of the country’s inhabitants live.

Praslin, with its population of around 5,000 people, is more laid back than Mahé, and is the perfect destination for couples who want to get away from it all and just relax.

Davison, who is a former Playboy cover girl, was not shy to flaunt her figure as she posed beside the warm Indian Ocean in a range of beachwear, sporting reflective aviator shades and a stylish white panama hat.

Judging by her Instagram snaps, it seems that the former Miss World, who is a vegan and practising nutritionist, is enjoying the island fare of fresh tropical fruits and is also taking the opportunity to cycle around the resort grounds with her husband regularly.

She has also been enjoying the nightlife, dressing up in a stunning white knee-length dress to go to a beach cocktail party with a slightly more casually-dressed Quirke. The couple have been enjoying beautiful sunsets, dancing, beach barbeque parties and boat trips.

Davison also snapped herself feeding a very happy-looking giant tortoise, although gentle giant has apparently kept mum on whether he was pleased about the company he was keeping or the greenery he was being fed.
