(Seychelles News Agency) - Pregnant and looking for the baby basics? Hunting for that special little gift for a friend's or family member’s new arrival? The search shouldn’t be that difficult.

Apart from bottles, toiletries and clothes found in most baby shops, SNA takes a closer look those shops that have something unique to offer in Seychelles, an archipelago in the western Indian Ocean.

1. Baby Zain Shop

Offering a wide range of baby products, Baby Zain Shop also focuses on mothers-to-be. They can get their nursing bras and other maternity clothes there.

For the little ones they offer an assortment of products and some with brands such as Cow and Gate, which is hard to find on the local market. Other brands also available are Gentelle, Chicco, Munchkin and Tommee Tippee.

This one offers a wide variety of plain-colored onesies, coveralls and sleepers. Isn’t that ideal for parents who do not want to know the gender of their child before birth?

Also available are soft cozy towels, gift sets and various other accessories.

3. Adam

One can see items in Adam's display window that come in handy when welcoming a little one into the world. On offer are cribs, bouncers, strollers and car seats and other essentials under the Italian brand name Cam.

At this store you can buy a feeding starter kit which includes everything needed when introducing the baby to the bottle. Brands for sale are Tommee Tippee, Avent and Natur among others.

4. Pti Baba

You don’t have time to go shopping for baby basics? Pti Baba might be the answer you were looking for. Operating online, the shop offers home delivery all over the main island, Mahe between $15 and $62, depending on the area of residence.

Brands for sale are Graco, Obaby B, Clevamam among others.

5. Zanfan

This shop has two outlets, one on the ground floor of St Claire building and the other at STC Hypermarket at Bois de Rose.

Zanfan offers christening outfits for infants, all-in-one reuseable diapers, baby bathing robes, baby proofing products among others. Brands for sale are Carters, Luvable Friends, mamas and papas among others.
