From February this year, the annual Next Hot Model UK competition scoured Southern England to discover the most talented aspiring and unsigned models.
Teams of talent scouts traveled through town centres, supermarkets, malls and events looking for the South’s most beautiful people, signing up over 2000 entrants which would eventually be whittled down to the top 15 males and 15 females for the Grand Final Catwalk Show.

The final, which took place on 6 June at the Hilton Brighton Metropole in the popular holiday town of Brighton, was attended by over 500 guests, including a delegation from Seychelles.
The Chief Executive of the Seychelles Tourism Board, Sherin Naiken, was a guest judge at the event and had the difficult task of determining which young models were the most deserving to enter the exciting world of fashion.

The founder and creator of Next Hot Model UK, Fatosh Kalan, said the competition was a unique opportunity for aspiring models looking for their big break.
“Besides winning exclusive modeling contracts from London PRM model agency, the winners will also be jetted off for a week of pure luxury in the islands of Seychelles where they will receive a photo shoot of a lifetime,” she said.
The competition, which is in its fourth year, is run in conjunction with London model agency PRM, and Kalan says the final was a good opportunity for all the finalists to gain exposure for themselves and experience on the catwalk.
Guest judge Sherin Naiken said the Seychelles Tourism Board is working with the organizers to plan their photo shoot which will is scheduled for September this year. This will be the second time that STB has sent the winners to Seychelles for photography sessions in paradise.
“After a successful photo shoot last year, which won us a lot of coverage in the fashion and lifestyles magazines in UK, the organizers approached us again in January, informing us that they would like to offer their winners a trip to Seychelles again this year,” said Naiken.
“It is a pleasure for us to work with them again, and we would give all our support to ensure the photo shoot will be another success and Seychelles will benefit from the visibility that would come with it.”
