(Seychelles News Agency) - President Danny Faure of Seychelles will be attending the Global Business Forum on Africa in Dubai at the invitation of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates.

The November 1-2 forum will explore the next phase of growth and development with the founders of Africa’s most innovative businesses.

The Global Business Forum started in 2013 as part of Dubai Chamber of Commerce's strategy of international expansion, to position Dubai as the gateway to the world. It has since then been an annual event held under the attendance and patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The two-day event invites top officials, decision makers, and investors to focus on the continent’s economic outlook and explore investment opportunities. This year’s edition will focus on the next phase of growth and development with the founders of Africa’s most innovative businesses.

The forum provides the platform for delegates to learn about the emerging synergies of the Africa and Gulf region and how these relations could develop in the future. Participants can also pursue new business opportunities, meet with prospective business partners and seek out potential funding for various projects.

President Faure attended the first forum in 2013 when he was the Vice President of Seychelles, a group of 115 islands in the western Indian Ocean. He leaves the country on Tuesday, October 31 and is expected back on November 3.
